Attracting birds to your backyard can provide hours of pleasure.  Who doesn't love to see a Northern Cardinal swoop in at dusk to feed his mate in the spring, or the brilliant yellow of the male American Goldfinch flash onto a nyjer feeder.  Not to mention hummingbirds, orioles, grosbeaks..... well we could go on for a while.  We love birds just as much as you do.  

The key is to know what birds like - the right food, protection from predators and elements, water and places to raise their young.
