Safflower is a smart choice for selective bird feeding. It is enjoyed by many songbirds, but is less attractive to blackbirds, starlings, grackles, and squirrels. Available in 5lb, 10lb and 20lb bags.

NutraSaff™, also sometimes called Golden Safflower, is a safflower hybrid specifically developed to have a thinner hull and higher levels of oil, protein and fat than traditional safflower. It’s easier and healthier for your birds to eat, and studies show that birds prefer it 2 to 1 over traditional safflower! Squirrels and grackles tend to not be attracted to it. Our Premium Black Oil Sunflower is a great source of energy for the birds and 99% free of sticks, stems or other foreign matter so your feeders won’t clog with debris. Nyjer® is a high oil content seed, making it an excellent energy source for active birds such as goldfinches, house finches, purple finches and pine siskins. It is important to keep the food fresh for these picky little eaters. Nyjer® has a thin shell and is vulnerable to spoilage while in the tube. Once seed starts to dry out and become stale, finches will turn up their beak for fresher forage. Available in 5lb and 10lb bags.

Birds such as juncos, doves, towhees and sparrows are all birds that naturally forage on the ground for food. These same birds love millet when offered in a tray feeder near the ground.
